What it does
Families
Each family is one household, with parents and children together. Families fill it in once, and it follows them into every class and event.
Classes and waitlists
Set the teacher, the seats and the fee. When a class fills, new sign-ups go to a waitlist.
Calendar and events
Field trips, parent meetings, the co-op fair. Repeating events, and a calendar feed families can add to their phones.
Volunteers
List the jobs on an event and parents sign up themselves. Set your co-op's yearly service requirement for each family.
Email and forum
Write to every family or just one class. The forum keeps the ongoing conversation out of the group text.
Payments
Families pay dues and class fees online, straight to your co-op's bank account. We take no cut; the only fee is Stripe's normal processing fee. Record checks and cash by hand, and export to QuickBooks.
Your website
A public site for your co-op on your own domain, with events and sign-up built in.

Who built this
I'm Jonathan Franzone. I'm a pastor in Pensacola, Florida, and I build software for a living. I built CooplyHQ because the homeschool groups around me were running on spreadsheets, sign-up sheets and group texts. A homeschool support group of about 180 families in the Pensacola area moved to CooplyHQ this summer.

Do you take a cut of payments?

Can we move from Homeschool-Life?
Yes. Families and children come across from your Homeschool-Life export, and each family gets an email to set up their sign-in. We don't bring over old payment history. Keep your Homeschool-Life export as the record for past years and start your books fresh.
Is there a phone app?
CooplyHQ works in any phone's browser, and families can add the calendar to their phone. There isn't an app-store app yet.
What happens when our leadership changes?
Give the new officers admin access and remove the old ones. Everything stays with the co-op, not in someone's personal email or spreadsheet.
